No Boundaries is a community collaboration in Penrith NSW for, and by people with disability working creatively with professional artists, to create a spectacular public installation.
You can join a visual art workshop to make artwork, stories and animations that will be part of the final project. We are planning a fortnightly workshop to be held at PCYC over coming months.
Our first meeting for people with disability from Penrith, interested in art activities (painting, drawing, making etc) was held at 10:30 am on the 14th May and the first group of five people have decided to start working together on the 28th May. More people with disability from Penrith region are invited to make contact and join the group if interested.
Our dates for the art workshops are: Every second and fourth Monday of the month (although we will set alternative dates for public holidays and special events) at PCYC Penrith – 100 Station Street Penrith. We plan to meet for about 3 hours. These meetings will be creative visual art workshops where you will take part in making artwork and animation for the No Boundaries event. You need to be a member of PCYC to attend, but once you are a member the cost of the workshop itself is free as No Boundaries is absorbing the cost of the studio rental at PCYC.
How to book: contact us to find out more and let us know you are coming, and any special needs.
What to bring: if you have favourite brushes, pencils, art materials or things to show you are welcome to bring them (so long as you can look after them). Its a good idea to bring a sandwich or something for a snack.

- Monday 28th May 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Monday 4th June 1pm – 4pm (note this date variation as the following week is a public holiday)
- Monday 18th June 1pm – 4pm (variation due to public holiday)
- Monday 25th June – it will be a field trip from 10:30 – 2:30 pm to a river location to paint outdoors. The bus will pick up from PCYC at 10:00 am and return at 3:00 pm.

- Monday 23rd July 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Monday 30th July 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Monday 13th August 10:30 am – 1:30 pm

A Public No Boundaries event featuring the artwork will be held on the 21st and 22nd September 2012.
